The Health Foundation commissioned me to create photographs for their new image library based on issues that form the cornerstones of restricting or enabling a healthy life:
During the three week project I incorporated both ground level and aerial photography (drone) to document subjects in north and east London, Birmingham and Dudley, West Midlands and Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
This is my third major commission for them in past few years. Once the initial brief is discussed, I research locations that reflect the tenets of the project and plan the logistics of how to photograph them. One of the most exciting elements is beginning the photography. Upon arrival in the chosen environment, the day organically develops and reveals imagery that both inspires and satisfies me and the brief. It really is a privilege to receive the trust to work on important creative endeavours that can benefit people’s every day lives.
